Our Editorial Commitment

Every calculator on Calculator Matters is built around a clear formula, accompanied by useful explanations, and checked against that formula before it is published. Our goal is for every result to be understandable, every explanation to be honest, and every guide to be useful — with no commercial bias in the numbers we show.

Our Standards

Formula accuracy

Every formula is based on authoritative references, standard industry conventions, or clearly stated assumptions. We show the formula and key assumptions near each calculator so you can check the method yourself.

Worked examples

Each calculator includes at least one worked example using realistic, clearly labelled values. Examples are checked against the formula.

Plain language

We write educational content to be understood by anyone, not just specialists. Technical terms are explained the first time they appear.

No sponsored results

Calculator outputs will never be influenced by advertisers or sponsors. The numbers you see are produced solely by the formula — we do not adjust results to favour any product or institution.

Reviews and updates

When we become aware that a reference value or rate has changed, we update the affected calculators. Where a result depends on time-sensitive figures such as tax brackets, we label the tax year and point you to the primary source so you can verify the current numbers.

Corrections

If you report — or we identify — an error in a formula or worked example, we review it and correct the page as quickly as we can.

Scope

Calculator Matters covers finance, business, health, and everyday planning calculations. Public navigation includes calculators that meet the standards above and are ready for users.

What We Are Not

Calculator Matters is an educational tool, not a financial adviser, medical practitioner, or tax consultant. Our calculators provide estimates based on the inputs you supply and standardised formulas. They are not a substitute for personalised professional advice. Please read our full Disclaimer before making decisions based on our results.

Advertising Independence

We may display advertising on Calculator Matters. Advertisers have no influence over our calculator formulas, results, or editorial content. Ad placement does not affect the rankings, recommendations, or outputs of any calculator.

Feedback & Corrections

If you believe any formula, worked example, or piece of content is incorrect, please contact us via our contact page. We take accuracy reports seriously, and we will review them and aim to respond as quickly as we can.
